My work at Interos as a Lead Computational Social Scientist has been what I was looking for in my career as a data professional. Three big things are part of that experience: innovative research, professional development, and company culture. First, the organization does a great job of challenging me to explore frontiers in computational modeling and conduct deep research. I get to push the boundaries of my expertise and learn new things. Second, Interos has made professional development a priority. The company has paid for me to get training from data science experts at MIT and coaching from a former staff engineer at AirBNB, and I've been lucky to be able to take the training and use it further develop our data products. Third, the company takes time to focus on process and culture.
