Agreement designed to mitigate disruptions to critical defence infrastructure using next-generation digital tools to pre-empt sub-tier threats

Singapore and Arlington, Va., February 20, 2024 – Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) and Interos, Inc. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster technology exchange that propels advanced supply chain intelligence and risk monitoring capabilities to mitigate disruptions to critical defence infrastructure. As part of the MOU, DSTA and Interos will work together to test and adopt new models for assessing supply chain risks. The partnership aims to utilise advanced digital tools for identifying and detecting risks in supply chains. This is crucial for national security in today’s unpredictable global environment.

DSTA’s Chief Executive Mervyn Tan said, “This collaboration is testament to DSTA’s efforts to expand beyond our network of traditional defence partners and further build up capabilities crucial for Singapore’s defence and security. Global developments in recent years have brought about unprecedented disruptions to global supply chains, and this partnership enables us to leverage advancements in technology for dynamic supply chain risk management and operational resilience. By doing so, we can enhance the robustness of our interconnected global supply chain.”

“We are pleased to partner with DSTA to expand proactive resilience capabilities crucial for Singapore’s defence procurement and operational readiness,” shared Interos Founder and CEO Jennifer Bisceglie. “Evolving from lagging to leading risk indicators enables resilience as a strategic deterrent, safeguarding against escalating threats including concentrated attacks, foreign interference, cyber-attacks, and other national security challenges within the defence supply chain.”
