Resilience 2022: Aerospace & Defense – Download the Interos Annual Global Supply Chain Report

Interos surveyed 300 global supply chain leaders in the aerospace & defense sector as part of Resilience 2022, the second edition of the company’s Annual Global Supply Chain Report. This in-depth study shows the impact of continued supply chain upheavals and what aerospace & defense organizations intend to do about it.

As the study shows, aerospace & defense organizations reported facing three major supply chain events within the last 12 months, not including the war in Ukraine. These disruptions cost these companies an average of $160 million annually in lost revenue.

The report also found that financial services companies plan on retreating from totally globalized supply chains – and intend to onshore/nearshore 53% of their supply chains.

Key findings of the Interos Resilience 2022 Aerospace & Defense survey include:

  • 58% of aerospace & defense companies plan to make wholesale changes to their supply chain footprint
  • 77% of aerospace & defense plan to implement or introduce technology in next 12 months to gain visibility into their supply chains
  • Only 8% of aerospace & defense organizations currently monitor supplier risk on a continuous basis
  • 88% of aerospace & defense companies agree that collective responsibility is required to protect against supply chain disruptions.
