The Opportunity:

The Interos Payroll Manager partners with key stakeholders throughout the payroll lifecycle to oversee activities, account for relationship, performance, and risk components. This Manager-Level Role will develop both short and long-term roadmaps for critical and strategic integration of payroll within the various processes across different systems (HRIS/Time and Attendance) and departments (HR/Payroll/Fin/Ops). Reporting to the controller of the company, this individual will maintain up-to-date knowledge on payroll trends and market changes that affect how Interos team members are paid and how they report time and absences. The successful incumbent will lead with vision to drive efficiency and positive end-user experience in Payroll and Time & Absence.
 
 

Essential Functions/duties:

  • Process, reconcile and submit pay data for the semi-monthly payroll for all employees
  • Oversee payroll processed by external accounting team in the EU and UK
  • Process all payroll tax related transactions including but not limited to new hire payroll set up, termination processing and payments, salary changes, taxability of benefit deductions, federal/state/local tax withholdings, supplemental income taxation, taxable fringe benefits, etc
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of multi-state payroll processing and tax filings using our HRIS/financial systems
  • Ensures compliance with federal state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Responds to employee pay-related inquiries
  • Support relevant pay audits: 401k and Worker’s compensation
  • Process Order Requests and Garnishments in a timely fashion
  • Reconcile payroll related journal entries and account information to the General Ledger
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Reconciles income tax withholding and all other Payroll balance sheet accounts
  • Manage ACA information tracking

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience processing multi-state payrolls in an organization with at least 500 employees
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience running payroll including knowledge of government contracting
  • Systems experience with payroll systems, ideally Rippling and NetSuite Time and Attendance
  • Proven experience as a trusted advisor and partner to peers, senior leadership, and the executive team
  • Detail oriented with a high level of analytical ability and accuracy
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills – intermediate to advanced Excel skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Experience with Netsuite and planning systems such as Adaptive Insights
  • Advanced analytical and business sense and a keen attention to detail
  • Posses a proven track record or professional success; industry experience in finance, strategy, operations, or consulting in the technology/SaaS industry preferred

 

Additional Information:

  • Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
  • Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel
  • Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers
  • Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role. Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech, and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment
  • Colorado Only: The range provided is for Colorado-based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than CO may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. Pay range: $75,000 - $105,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
